What makes a Bed and Breakfast special?
Is it the house? The rooms? The food? The innkeepers?

At Brick House on Main these factors all combine to give you a wonderfully memorable stay.
...From our beautifully renovated 1879 brick Victorian home
...To our guest rooms with queen size beds, antique furniture and custom window treatments
...To our delicious food - always homemade!
...To your hosts - our goal is to make you feel at home, rested, pampered, and very welcome.
A bit of history: It's hard to believe this Victorian home was used as a house for chickens and turkeys during WWII. The only reminders of the Old Girl's contribution to the War Effort are the occasional chicken scratches in the floors. Thankfully, after the war the next owners saw a diamond in the rough, cleaned out the chicken debris (it took THREE MONTHS!), and worked to make the house beautiful again.
Built in 1
879, this lovely home features solid brick construction, 11-foot ceilings, bay windows and beautiful woodwork. Lumber dealer Hezekiah Wardell and his wife, Sybilla, were the builders and first residents of the home. Original hardwood floors of quarter-sawn oak and pine, plus the original walnut staircase, have been professionally restored, leaving chicken scratches in the living room & upstairs hallway as a reminder of her history. Custom window treatments along with antique furniture can be seen throughout the home.
At Brick House on Main, our emphasis is always on delicious homemade food and specialty breads. We use eggs from locally raised free-range hens plus locally sourced ingredients as much as possible.
Innkeepers Jim and Cathy Marker look forward to welcoming you into their home.
